This database is only worth using if you can see where a number came from. Every specification and fitment claim is stored with its source, how strongly that source evidences it, and when it was checked. Where there is no evidence we print Unknown.
Confidence Levels

Fitment Statuses

Fits as supplied, with no adapter and no modification to either part.
- Fits with adapter
Fits only with a named adapter. The record always names it.
- Requires modification
Owners have made this work by altering the kayak or the part. Doing so may affect your warranty.
- Not compatible
Recorded deliberately, because knowing what does not fit saves a return.
- Not known
We hold a record but no evidence either way. We will not guess.

Limits of This Data
- We do not invent specifications. If a manufacturer has not published a figure and nobody has measured it, the field says Unknown. A blank is more useful than a plausible guess.
- We do not carry figures forward between model years. A 2019 figure is a 2019 figure. If we have not checked 2024, 2024 says Unknown.
- We do not resolve conflicts by deleting evidence. When two sources disagree we keep both, display the better evidenced one, and label the row as disputed.
- We do not make safety claims. Manufacturer maximum capacity is a stated limit, not a recommendation. The absence of a recall record means we found no matching notice, never that a kayak is safe.
- We do not infer standing suitability. A wide hull is not the same as a manufacturer saying you can stand on it. We record only what the manufacturer states.
- We do not let fitment override a load rating. A carrier fitting your kayak and your car does not raise the roof load limit of either. The lowest applicable limit always governs.
- We do not fabricate reviews or ratings. There is no review or rating structured data anywhere on this site, because we hold no review data.
- We do not publish a used valuation from a thin sample. Below our minimum number of recorded transactions, the page says so instead.
